The theme for the conference is Pride Organizing for the Future. We are planning to offer a mix of workshops and general sessions to help US pride organizers plan for the future post-COVID.  The workshops will discuss and navigate the environment that we will face on how we hold events this year and structure our organizations to be ready for what the future holds for pride organizations.  One of the benefits of this conference is that it will be for US Pride organizations.  The discussion will center on our common issues and challenges that are different from other parts of the world.  By meeting together, we can discuss these topics and trends that are unique to the US.

Most of the workshops for the conference have been selected and are listed below.  Next week's e-News will contain the workshop descriptions.  The titles include:

  • An introduction to IDEAA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Anti-Racism, and Access)

  • Engaging Corporate Partners/Sponsors in the Pandemic

  • Remaining relevant in your community during COVID-19.

  • Goodbye 2020: How to Handle Year-End

  • Fundraising with Pride

  • Volunteer Empowerment

  • Incorporating Health Equity into Virtual Pride Celebrations

  • Board Development

  • Booking Talent - contracts, trends and challenges

  • #pride2021 - Leveraging Your Social Presence in a Virtual World

Questions on the registering for the conference can be sent to dave.wait@usaprides.org.
