2024 USAP Board Election Results

The U.S. Association of Prides held board elections this October for terms beginning on January 1, 2024

The United States Association of Prides (USAP) is a vital organization that plays a significant role in advancing LGBTQ+ rights and community-building across the nation. Every four years, USAP holds elections for its Board of Directors, and in 2023, the election results have been announced. These individuals will assume their roles starting on January 1, 2024, and bring fresh perspectives and dedication to this essential organization.


New Leadership:

  • Co-President Female (4-year term) - Eve Keller, Indy Pride: Eve Keller, representing Indy Pride, has been elected as Co-President Female. Her four-year term will see her working diligently to advance the mission and goals of USAP, promoting unity and advocacy within the LGBTQ+ community.

  • Eastern District Representative (4-year term) - Alan Reiff, HOP, New York Pride: Alan Reiff, hailing from HOP, New York Pride, will serve as the Eastern District Representative. With his extensive experience, Alan is well-positioned to represent the Eastern region effectively.

  • Central District Representative (4-year term) - Jonathan A. Balash, Spencer Pride: Jonathan A. Balash, representing Spencer Pride, has been elected as the Central District Representative. His passion and commitment to the LGBTQ+ community will undoubtedly benefit USAP.

  • Central District Representative (2-year term) - Mark Liberson, Chicago Pride Fest: Mark Liberson, from Chicago Pride Fest, will serve as the Central District Representative for a 2-year term. His shorter term will provide an opportunity for the region to reassess its needs and goals more frequently.

  • Southern District Representative (4-year term) - Matt Comer, Charlotte Pride: Matt Comer, Charlotte Pride's representative, will serve as the Southern District Representative. His dedication to inclusivity and diversity aligns perfectly with USAP's mission.

  • Western District Representative (4-year term) - Trevor Harder, Henderson Pride: Trevor Harder, from Henderson Pride, has been elected as the Western District Representative. His extensive experience will be invaluable in representing the Western region effectively.

Continuing Leadership:


While these newly elected board members will bring fresh energy and perspectives to USAP, it's crucial to acknowledge the ongoing contributions of existing board members:

  • Ron de Harte, Co-President Male, Greater Palm Springs Pride: Ron de Harte continues his role as Co-President Male, providing stability and experience to the organization.

  • David Wait, Secretary, Motor City Pride: David Wait remains in his position as Secretary, ensuring the smooth functioning of USAP's administrative processes.

Open Positions:


The USAP Board will also appoint individuals to the following open positions:

  • Treasurer (4-year term)

  • Eastern District Representative (2-year term)

  • Southern District Representative (2-year term)

  • Western District Representative (2-year term)

Individuals interested in contributing to USAP and filling one of these positions are encouraged to email secretary@usaprides.org to express their interest and be added to the list of potential Board Members.

The diversity of voices and experiences represented on the board will contribute to a stronger and more inclusive LGBTQ+ community in the United States.
